I walked around 800 meters to get to the highway so I could ride a jeep to the bank. The road was wide but littered with millipedes. Some were sun-baked, some were trying to crawl, some were flattened like permanent shadows embedded on the street.
I decided to go to the market. I bought squash, banana and mango for my son; tinapa and okra for my mother and lola. I rode the jeep and walked another 800 meters.
I boiled the squash and okra, fried the tinapa and sliced some fresh tomatoes. We had an early lunch.
